Danny Lear delivered a performance and a half, as he has done on numerous occasions during his year-long spell with us, against Matt Longhurst’s visiting side last weekend and executed a first half hat-trick in front of our delighted home support during the pre-season friendly which quickly gained the attention of the Ramsgate boss.

With Jimmy’s blessing, who has always been very much about giving young players the opportunity to play and progress, Danny featured for Ramsgate during their midweek friendly against a Gillingham FC XI on Tuesday night - Danny came on in the second half and scored twice for Matt Longhurst’s side, in a game that finished 3-0 against the EFL club.
